How often do I change the car oil?

Generally, the reference is made according to the type of engine oil. The replacement cycle of mineral engine oil is about 5000 km, that of semi synthetic engine oil is about 7000 km, and that of fully synthetic engine oil is about 10000 km. The following four factors should be paid attention to when selecting engine oil:

1. The engine oil shall be selected according to the requirements of the engine. It is not necessary to use too high-grade engine oil on the engine with lower requirements, nor can it be used on the engine with higher requirements.

2. Multi grade oil shall be selected as far as possible. Multi grade oil has a good protective effect on the engine due to saving, long service life and high efficiency. Based on the characteristics of multi-stage oil, there may be too early blackening and the oil pressure is lower than that of ordinary oil, which are normal.

3. The quality of some domestic famous brand engine oils is quite good, and the price is much lower than that of imported similar products, so they can be used safely.

4. If the engine is in good condition and the seasonal temperature is low, the engine oil with low viscosity should be used as much as possible to make the oil circuit unblocked. For example, in high temperature season or under the condition of serious engine wear, the selection of high viscosity engine oil is conducive to the formation of oil film and reduce engine wear.
The oil change of automobile should be based on the mileage. The general mineral oil can be changed every 5000 km, and the synthetic oil can be extended to 8000-10000 km. In terms of time, cars that have driven less than 5000 kilometers for half a year should also consider changing the oil after half a year.

Of course, one way is to check the oil. It should not be a problem to maintain it once a year. The key is the quality and level of the oil you use. If the quality is good and the level is high, it can certainly prolong the oil change time. If ordinary engine oil is used, the quality of engine oil should be checked frequently. Poor engine oil lubrication will damage the vehicle. When the oil has been used for half a year, check it once a month or before driving. Take out some oil from the oil dipstick to see the oil level and oil quality. If you feel good, continue to use it. If the quality is poor, replace it immediately. In this way, the damage to the car will be reduced.

There are four ways to identify oil:

1. Smell method: take out the oil dipstick and smell it close to your nose. If there is a strong sour smell, it indicates that the oil has deteriorated and should be replaced.

2. Hand twisting method: grind the removed old engine oil repeatedly with thumb and index finger. The hand feeling with good quality has lubricity, less wear debris and no friction. If you feel impurities, poor viscosity or even astringent, you should replace it.

3. Color discrimination method: take a clean white filter test paper (better tissue paper can be used) and drop some old engine oil on the paper. After the standby oil leaks, the engine oil with good quality has no powder, is dry and smooth by hand, and the Yellow infiltration zone is clear. It is dark black brown with impurities and should be replaced.

4. Light method: take out the oil dipstick, raise it 45 degrees, and observe the oil droplets under the light. It is good to see that there is no wear debris in the oil droplets. If there is much debris, it should be replaced.
